 Club Rules Info at Anima

  • Contact Info

Keep your contact details updated in your Anima HomePortal account.
This ensures we can reach you quickly if there’s an emergency, cancellation, or important update.
Log in any time to check and update your info.

    Drop-Off & Pick-Up

To help our classes run on time, please drop off and collect your child at the gymnasium doors.
One of our coaches will greet your child at the start of the session and hand them back to you at the end.

If it’s your child’s first session, you’re welcome to walk them in and stay for that class.
After that, we kindly ask parents and carers to wait outside at drop-off and pick-up times.

Note: These guidelines don’t apply to our Toddlers Play or Toddlers Advanced classes.

    Arriving Late

If your child arrives more than 10 minutes after the class starts, we won’t be able to let them join—for their own safety and the smooth running of the session.
We’re unable to offer refunds for classes missed due to lateness.

    Pick-Up by Someone Else

If someone else is collecting your child, please let us know beforehand—either in person or by email.

    Supervision for Under 5s

If your child is under 5, a parent or guardian must stay on-site for the entire class.

    Independent Sign-Out (Age 10+)

Children aged 10 and above can leave the gym on their own, but only if we’ve received written permission from you by email in advance.

    Food & Drink

Children may bring water into the gym, but food isn’t allowed inside for hygiene and safety reasons.

What to Wear

Toddlers Advanced, Pre-School & Boys (All Levels)

  • Children in these classes can wear T-shirts, vests, sweatshirts, shorts, leggings, or joggers.

  • Boys are also welcome to wear a leotard with shorts, though this is completely optional.

Girls (Reception to Advanced)

  • A leotard is required.

  • Fitted shorts or leggings may be worn over it, and fitted tops are also acceptable.

  • Avoid loose clothing as it can interfere with safe movement.

First Session for Girls (Reception and Above)

  • For the very first class, a fitted top and leggings are fine—no leotard is needed.

  • From the second session onwards, girls are expected to wear a leotard.

Footwear

  • All gymnasts train barefoot to ensure safety and proper technique.

  • For this reason, socks, grip socks, and gymnastics shoes are not allowed.

Hair, Jewellery & Makeup

  • Make sure hair is tied back securely to prevent distractions or safety issues.

  • Please avoid makeup and jewellery during sessions.

  • If a piece of jewellery (like a new piercing) can’t be removed, it must be fully covered with tape.

Forms explained

Planned Absences Policy

At Anima, we understand there may occasionally be times when your child cannot attend their usual gymnastics class due to illness, holidays or family events.
As a courtesy, we offer a Planned Absence option, allowing you to book a replacement class at an alternative day or time, subject to our availability.

To begin, start with step 1: Complete the Planned Absence Form
Before anything else, complete the Planned Absence Form. Once submitted, the system will automatically add a replacement class credit to your account.

Step 2: Book Your Replacement Class
Once you submit the Planned Absence Form, we’ll send a confirmation email with a link to book your replacement.
Need time to decide? You’ll have 8 weeks to use your session.
Booking is simple — just follow the steps below.

  • Select a class that matches your child’s current level.

  • Keep in mind that spaces are limited and must be booked in advance.

  • We confirm bookings one week before the replacement class is due to take place.

  • You’ll receive a final confirmation email once your booking is successful—please wait for this before attending.

Please note:

  • It is your responsibility to book and attend the replacement class within 8 weeks from the date your planned absence was submitted.
  • Replacement classes depend strictly on availability and are not guaranteed.
  • Planned absences do not qualify for refunds, credits, or deductions from your fees.
  • If you are unable to attend your regular class or schedule a suitable replacement class within the provided timeframe, the class will be forfeited.

This policy helps us ensure fairness to all families, maintain class quality and manage our sessions effectively.

Anima Ability Awards – Certificates & Badges

Our Anima Ability Awards are designed to celebrate and recognise your child’s progress and achievements in gymnastics.
These awards are a fun and rewarding way to help gymnasts stay motivated and see how far they’ve come over time. Certificates/Badges are awarded
towards the end of each school term, roughly three times per year. These are based on the individual level your child is working on – not their class level.

How Do the Levels Work?
All gymnast starts at Level 1 when they first join Anima. From there, they progress numerically (Level 2, Level 3, and so on) each term as they develop new skills.
Each level represents a personal milestone of growth and dedication.

To be eligible for an award, a child must attend a minimum of 4 classes.

Note:
Certificate/Badges does not reflect whether your child is Beginners, Novice, Intermediate or Advanced level.
These are assessed separately to ensure gymnasts are grouped appropriately for their ability and stage of development.
