Drop-Off & Pick-Up

To help our classes run on time, please drop off and collect your child from the gymnasium doors.

Child’s first session?
You’re welcome to stay in and watch for that class.
After that, we kindly ask parents to wait outside at drop-off and pick-up times.
These guidelines don’t apply to Toddlers Play or Toddlers Advanced classes.

Arriving Late

If your child arrives more than 10 minutes after the class starts, we won’t be able to let them join—for their own safety and the smooth running of the session.
We’re unable to offer refunds or mark as a Planned Absence for classes missed due to lateness.

Pick-Up by Someone Else

If someone else is collecting your child, please let us know beforehand
– either in person, text or email.

Supervision for Under 5s

If your child is under 5, a parent or guardian must stay on-site for the entire class.

Children over 10

Children aged 10 and above can leave the gym on their own,
but only if we’ve received written permission from you by email in advance.

Food & Drink

Children may only bring water into the gym.

Planned Absence System info

At Anima, we understand that there may be times when your child cannot attend their regular gymnastics class due to holidays, family occasions or other commitments.
To support families in these situations, we offer a system which allows you to notify us in advance, when your child will miss a class.

Planned Absences for 12-Block Booking Members

By submitting a Planned Absence form(s), the credit for the missed class will automatically remain on your account.
Once processed by us and can be used in the following ways:

  • You can attend replacement classes either before or after the planned absence – these must be booked within 8 weeks of the planned absence date.
  • If the Planned Absence isn’t used for a replacement class, the credit will remain on your account and be applied to your next top-up.
‘For example, with 3 planned absence credits, you’ll select the 12-class block but only pay for 9 at the final checkout page, as this will automatically be deducted.’

Planned Absences for Direct Debit Members

By submitting a Planned Absence form(s) and once processed by us, you can only book a replacement class for the missed session(s).

  • Replacement classes must be booked within 8 weeks of the planned absence date. After this time, the class will be forfeited.
  • Direct Debit payments will not be adjusted or refunded, except during scheduled closures. Please refer to the Anima Closure Dates for 2026 for more information.

Please note:

– Planned Absence forms cannot be used for same-day sickness or unforeseen last-minute emergencies.

– Planned absences and replacement classes cannot be submitted through your HomePortal

– Our Planned Absence policy requires a minimum of one week’s notice

This notice period is important not only to ensure classes do not become overfilled, but also because replacement classes rely on us knowing in advance when a gymnast will be absent. When we receive timely planned absence notifications, we can offer replacement spaces to other families with sufficient notice.
Accepting planned absences with less than a week’s notice would mean offering replacement classes to other parents at very short notice,
which is not practical and often not workable for families. Having at least one week’s notice allows us to plan staffing appropriately, maintain safe coach-to-gymnast ratios and manage replacement classes fairly and effectively for everyone.

Anima Ability Awards – Certificates & Badges

Our Anima Ability Awards are designed to celebrate and recognise your child’s progress and achievements in gymnastics. These awards are a fun and rewarding way to help gymnasts stay motivated and see how far they’ve come over time. Certificates/Badges are awarded towards the end of each school term, roughly three times per year. These are based on the individual level your child is working on – not their class level.

How Do the Levels Work?
All gymnast starts at Level 1 when they first join Anima.
From there, they progress numerically (Level 2, Level 3, and so on) each term as they develop new skills.
Each level represents a personal milestone of growth and dedication.

To be eligible for an award, a child must attend a minimum of 4 classes.

Certificate/Badges does not reflect whether your child is Beginners, Novice, Intermediate or Advanced level.
These are assessed separately ensuring gymnasts are grouped appropriately according to their abilities.

Monday 23rd March – Sunday 29th March 2026
Monday 6th July – Sunday 12th July 2026
