If someone else is collecting your child, please let us know beforehand
– either in person, text or email.

Supervision for Under 5s

If your child is under 5, a parent or guardian must stay on-site for the entire class.

Planned Absence System

Understanding Our Planned Absence System

At Anima Gymnastics Club, we understand there may be times when your child cannot attend their regular gymnastics class due to holidays, family occasions, or other commitments. To support families in these situations, we offer a Planned Absence system.
This allows a missed class to be swapped for another – giving everyone a little more flexibility while helping us maintain the balance of our sessions.

What is a Planned Absence?

A Planned Absence means letting us know in advance that your child will miss a class. Once submitted, you can book a replacement class on a different day or time, depending on availability. The system relies on planning and early notice so we can offer your child’s usual spot to another gymnast needing to make up a class.

Step 1. Submit the Planned Absence form at least one week in advance
You must submit your Planned Absence at least one week before the class you will miss.

Planned Absences Guidelines

Planned Absences must be submitted before the missed class
Forms sent after the class date will be treated as unplanned absences and won’t qualify for a replacement class.

The system only works with forward planning
Planned Absences designed as a way for families to “trade” a missed class with someone else’s—helping everyone. It only works if notice is given in advance.

Step 2: Book Your Replacement Class
After submitting the Planned Absence(s), you can request your replacement classes completing the form below.

Replacement Class Guidelines

Replacement classes must be booked and attended within 8 weeks
This is from the date of the missed class.
If not used within this time, the class will be forfeited.

Classes are subject to availability
We cannot guarantee a space in your preferred class.
We will do our best to offer alternatives where possible.

Replacement classes cannot be refunded
If unused, they can be credited towards your next block of 12 classes if you are on that system.

Credit for Unused Planned Absences

If you don’t book and attend a replacement class within 8 weeks, and you are on our 12-class block system, you may choose to have the missed class credited toward your next block of 12 classes.

Once credited, a class cannot be replaced

You must choose one or the other—credit towards your next top-up or a replacement class.

Only available to 12-class block members only
This option is not available to those booked on a pay-as-you-go basis or other schemes.
This can be particularly helpful during school holidays – ensuring your child keeps their place while you don’t lose out, as long as the Planned Absences forms are completed ahead of time.

Anima Ability Awards – Certificates & Badges

Our Anima Ability Awards are designed to celebrate and recognise your child’s progress and achievements in gymnastics.
These awards are a fun and rewarding way to help gymnasts stay motivated and see how far they’ve come over time. Certificates/Badges are awarded
towards the end of each school term, roughly three times per year. These are based on the individual level your child is working on – not their class level.

How Do the Levels Work?
All gymnast starts at Level 1 when they first join Anima. From there, they progress numerically (Level 2, Level 3, and so on) each term as they develop new skills.
Each level represents a personal milestone of growth and dedication.

To be eligible for an award, a child must attend a minimum of 4 classes.

Certificate/Badges does not reflect whether your child is Beginners, Novice, Intermediate or Advanced level.
These are assessed separately to ensure gymnasts are grouped appropriately for their ability and stage of development.

Incorrect Certificate/Badge Form
If your child has received the wrong certificate/badge,
