Safeguarding

Creating a safe and supportive environment for every gymnast at Anima.

Learn how our Welfare Officer supports gymnasts and how you can raise a concern if needed.

Maria Pieri, Our Welfare Officer

At Anima Gymnastics Club, the Welfare Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the safety
and well-being of all our gymnasts. While safeguarding is a shared responsibility across the club,
the Welfare Officer is the key point of contact for all welfare-related matters.
Their role includes responding to any concerns related to child protection or poor practice,
offering guidance on safeguarding procedures and helping the club maintain a child-centered approach
– such as involving gymnasts in decision-making.

This position is essential in promoting a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all our gymnasts.

To report a safeguarding concern, contact Maria at welfare@animagymnastics.co.uk.
