Welcome to our September newsletter!
We hope everyone had a lovely summer and has settled back into the new school term.
September is a busy month at Anima, with assessments taking place across most of our programme, British Gymnastics memberships due for renewal, and a few important reminders as classes get back into full swing.
We also have information below about our Planned Absence system, as well as an early date for the diary for our Anima Winter Challenge Competition in December.
Please take a few minutes to read through the updates below so you’re up to date with everything happening at the club this month.
📈 Assessment month
Throughout September, we will be carrying out assessments across all eligible classes.
Assessments will take place in all classes except:
Toddler Learn
Toddler Independent
Reception
Our aim is to have every gymnast within our programme assessed by the end of September
Assessment results can be viewed through your HomePortal under the Competency section once they have been completed.
👗 Leotard & Water Bottle Reminder
A reminder that it is compulsory for all girls attending our Reception through to Development classes to wear a leotard.
Children are welcome to wear a top, shorts or leggings over their leotard if they prefer.
Please also ensure your child brings a water bottle to every session, with enough water to last for the full class.
Unfortunately, we are unable to refill water bottles during sessions.
📅 Planned Absence System
At Anima, we understand that there may be times when your child cannot attend their regular gymnastics class
due to holidays, family occasions or other commitments.
To support families in these situations, we offer a system which allows you to notify us in advance,
when your child will miss a class.

🏆 Anima Winter Challenge Competition – Sunday 6th December 2026
We will be opening entries from Sunday 4th October – more information will be within our October Newsletter!
🤸 British Gymnastics membership
Every child attending classes must hold a valid British Gymnastics Membership, which is renewed each September.
New starters should register under the Community Membership category.
🔗 Register or renew your child’s British Gymnastics Membership here.
Please note:
British Gymnastics membership is mandatory.
As the national governing body we are registered with, membership provides essential insurance cover whilst participating in classes and helps ensure that we continue to meet safeguarding, welfare and coaching standards.
