π€Έ Expanded Class Availability
We’re pleased to announce that we have now been able to expand many of our classes across the timetable.
If you are interested in moving your child to a different day or time, please get in touch by emailing to bookings@animagymnastics.co.uk and we can manually transfer them where spaces are available.
We have been able to increase capacity across most class levels, so now is a great time to contact us if you’ve been waiting for a different class.
βοΈ Summer Holidays, Class Credits & Planned Absences
Anima Gymnastics runs throughout the summer holidays as part of our year-round programme, unlike many activities that operate on a termly basis.
We understand that many families take holidays during the summer, which is why we have our Planned Absence system in place. This allows families to keep their child’s space whilst away without losing the value of sessions they have paid for.
π 12-Block Booking Members
If your child is booked via a 12-Block Booking and will be away during the summer holidays, you should:
- Continue topping up your child’s booking as required to keep their space secure.
- Submit a Planned Absence Form at least 1 week before any sessions they will miss due to holiday
(multiple dates can be included on a single form).
Once the absences have been processed:
- The missed sessions are converted into account credits.
- Those credits remain safely on your child’s account.
- The booking system will automatically apply any available credits at checkout when you next top up.
- The credit will appear as a deduction on the final checkout page, reducing the amount you need to pay.
- Alternatively, you may request replacement classes within 8 weeks of the planned absence date,
subject to availability.
Please note:
The booking system does not freeze or pause credits whilst your child is away. It will continue counting down sessions as normal.
This means that if your child is away for an extended period (for example, most or all of the summer holidays),
you may still need to top up again during that time in order to keep their place. However, any planned absence credits added to the account will remain available and will automatically be deducted from future top-ups, ensuring you do not lose the value of the missed sessions.
π³ Monthly Direct Debit Members
If your child is booked via Monthly Direct Debit:
- There is no need to top up, as payments continue automatically each month.
- You should still submit a Planned Absence Form for any sessions your child will miss.
- Direct Debit members do not receive account credits for planned absences.
- Instead, planned absences make your child eligible to request replacement classes, subject to availability.
- Replacement classes must be attended within 8 weeks of the planned absence date.

If you choose not to top up (for 12-Block Booking members) or cancel your Direct Debit, your child’s space will not be held and may be offered to another family.
You would then need to sign up again via our website when you are ready to return.

π Toddler Independent & Reception Transfers
Children moving from:
β‘οΈ Toddler Independent β Reception
β‘οΈ Reception β Fundamentals
in preparation for September are encouraged to complete the Transfer Form as early as possible.
Transfers will begin being processed from Monday 13th July on a first-come, first-served basis.
We strongly encourage families to transfer before the new school term begins.
Starting earlier gives children time to settle into their new class, become familiar with the environment and coaches, and build confidence before September arrives.
This can make the transition feel much smoother and less overwhelming when the new school year starts.
Please note:
The earliest your child can transfer to the new class would be from the week commencing Monday 20th July.

π¦Ά Verrucas
Recently, we have seen an increase in the number of children attending with verrucas.
Children are still able to attend classes as normal; however, we kindly ask that:
𧦠Your child wears a sock over the affected foot to help reduce the risk of contamination.
π©βπ« You inform the coach in advance so that we are aware and can manage this appropriately.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and hygienic environment for all gymnasts.
π¬π§ British Gymnastics Membership
Every child attending classes must hold a valid British Gymnastics Membership, which is renewed each September.
New starters should register under the Community Membership category.
π Register or renew your child’s British Gymnastics Membership here.
Please note:
British Gymnastics membership is mandatory.
As the national governing body we are registered with, membership provides essential insurance cover whilst participating in classes and helps ensure that we continue to meet safeguarding, welfare and coaching standards.
