🏆 London Community Competition at Anima!
We’re excited to share that we will be hosting a London Community Competition here at Anima Gymnastics Club!
This event is part of a wider initiative led by London Gymnastics to create more accessible and enjoyable competition opportunities for recreational gymnasts, with other clubs from across the London region taking part.
❗ Key Info
The competition is open to all our gymnasts born between 2010–2019, across all levels:
— Fundamentals, Improvers and Development.
⏳ Spaces & Deadline
Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
If spaces are filled before the deadline, entries will close early! The entry deadline closes on Sunday 10th May 2026.
🎟️ Spectators tickets
Spectator fees will be set up closer to the time, and we will share full details with you in advance.
🚨 Important Requirement
In order for your child to participate, they must have a valid British Gymnastics membership.
If your child is not registered, they may not be able to enter the competition, so please ensure this is set up in advance.

⚠️ Please note: This competition will replace our original Anima Summer Challenge Competition this year.

📅 May Bank Holiday Closures
The club will be closed on:
- Monday 4th May 2026
- Monday 25th May 2026
Payment & Booking Adjustments:
- 12-Week Block Bookings: Your class credit will automatically roll over to the following week.
- Direct Debit Members: Your fees will adjust automatically in the following month — no action required.
💡 Please note: No Planned Absence form is required if your child’s class falls on these closure dates
— these sessions have already been accounted for.
📝 Assessment Month
We will be carrying out assessments across all classes this month,
with the exception of Toddlers Learn, Toddlers Independent and Reception classes.
Our aim is to have all gymnasts assessed by the end of May.
📈 Results will be available via your HomePortal under the Competency section.
☀️ May Half Term
We will be running all classes as normal during the half term period.
Won’t be attending during the holidays?
Please remember to submit a Planned Absence form here in advance to avoid disappointment.
⏰ Important reminder: Planned Absence submissions must be made at least 1 week prior to the missed session in order to be accepted.
🇬🇧 British Gymnastics Membership
Every child must hold a valid British Gymnastics Membership, renewed each September.
New starters should register under the Community Membership type

As the national governing body we’re registered with, the membership provides essential cover and standards for everyone taking part — including insurance while participating in our classes — and helps ensure we meet safeguarding and welfare requirements.
