We hope you all had an amazing summer holiday!
As we start a new school year, we’d like to warmly welcome back all of our returning families and extend a big hello to those joining us for the first time. September is always a busy month as routines settle back in, and we have some important updates to share with you.
🤸 Assessing in September
Now that children are getting back into their normal routines, we will be carrying out assessments across all classes this month (in exception to Toddlers Advanced, Pre-School and Reception).
Our aim is to have everyone assessed by the end of September.
We kindly ask for your patience as coaches work through this process and allowing the children to settle into their classes.
🗓️ Reinforcing Our Planned Absence System
During the summer, we were more lenient with planned absences due to the quieter period, which allowed us to process same-day replacements more easily.
However, from this month, our Planned Absence system will be strictly enforced:
- Planned absences must be submitted at least 1 week in advance to give us time to process them.
– Please remember this is a manual system, not automated. - Planned Absence forms cannot be used for same-day sickness. In these cases, the class will unfortunately be forfeited.
- Replacement class requests:
If you have submitted a form but have not received a confirmation email, please do not attend.
– This likely means we do not have space in that session.
We ask for at least 1 week’s notice so we can check availability. Same-day replacement requests will not be processed.
This helps us keep classes running smoothly and fairly for everyone.
☀️ Class credits from the Summer holidays – block booking members
For those who completed Planned Absence forms during the summer and are now due to top up their class credits:
- If you have received confirmation via the booking system for your planned absence(s), the class credit(s) have automatically be applied to your account (unless if you have booked replacement classes).
- When you go to top up, the discount will only appear on the final checkout page.
Please note: the booking system is designed to calculate how many sessions remain from your block booking. You will need to continue topping up as normal in order for your child to stay on the register.
⏰ Lateness
Children arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be permitted to join their class if the gym doors are closed.
This is to avoid disrupting the group once the session has already begun.
Please help us keep sessions running on time by arriving punctually.
👕 Leotard Requirement
A gentle reminder that from Reception and upwards, all girls are required to wear a leotard for classes.
They may also wear a top and shorts/leggings over the leotard if they wish. Short-sleeved leotards are usually the best choice (if your child is cold we recommend putting a tshirt or jumper on them with the leotard), as children can get quite warm during sessions and they’re easier to manage when using the toilet.
📄 British Gymnastics Membership
Every child must be registered with British Gymnastics Membership, which is renewed each September.
For those just starting, please make sure you register under the Community Membership type.

🏅 Certificates and Badges from July
If your child received a certificate or badge in July and you believe the number was incorrect,

🪑 Seating Area
To keep our seating area safe and with a calm atmosphere both during busy class changeovers and while classes are running, we kindly ask that bikes, scooters and ball games are not used inside.
– These should be kept at the front of our main entrance area.
It is especially important for the safety of little ones walking around and it also helps prevent further scratches and damage to our floors.
☔ Rainy Weather
As autumn approaches and wetter weather sets in, we ask that used umbrellas are to be left at the front of our main entrance. This will help keep the seating area dry and prevent slips or accidents.
✨We’re excited for another term of fun, learning and progress – Thank you for your continued support! ✨
